October 2010 Meeting Minutes

The October 4 meeting was well attended with about 10 members present.

The Sky Pirates will be cleaning our Adopt-A-Highway section of Rt 611 in Doylestown on Saturday morning, October 23.  We will meet at the K-Mart parking lot in Doylestown.  Please give us a hand – even if it is just for an hour.  The  more members who participate, the easier it is for everyone.  Contact Dave W. for all the details.

Barry gave the treasurer’s report.  The treasury is a bit thin this year.  In order to make ends meet we voted and approved a $50 assessment.  Please send a check to Barry or bring your payment to the November meeting.  The assessment does not apply to junior members nor to new members who joined partway through the current year.

Our next regular monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 8 p.m. at the Northampton Township / Bucks County Municipal Authority meeting room in Richboro.

With the earlier sunsets we are back to our winter meeting schedule. Our October 2010 meeting will be on TUESDAY, October 5 at 8 p.m. at the Northampton Township / Bucks County Municipal Authority meeting room in Richboro.

Our next regular monthly meeting will be on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at our flying field at sunset (about 7:30 p.m.)  Come early and bring something to fly!  Visitors are always welcome.

Engine Workshop Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at 8 PM

Our February meeting will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 8 p.m. in the Bucks County / Northampton Township Municipal Authority meeting room in Richboro. The special topic for this meeting will be overhaul of 2- and 4-cycle engines.  Dave will demonstrate how to replace bearings and other maintenance.  Visitors are always welcome to attend any of our meetings.
